Kraken Parent Payward Joins Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net to enable 24/7 institutional settlement in Asia and the Gulf, while SGB gains Kraken Prime as a liquidity source.

At the core of the deal is Payward's integration of SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's proprietary real-time clearing network. The technology allows institutional participants to finalize transactions at any hour, eliminating the settlement delays that have historically plagued cross-border digital asset markets — particularly across time zones spanning the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

As part of the arrangement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. The partnership reflects a broader industry push to close the operational gap between conventional financial markets and digital asset platforms. Real-time clearing networks like SGB Net are increasingly viewed as critical infrastructure for institutions that require certainty and speed in settlement, regardless of market hours or geography.
